Countries open to American tourists looking to travel in 2021!

Is 2021 going to be the year for travel or nah? This question literally keeps me up at night... lol!! I think about it when I wake up, when I lay down, when I daydream, when I reminisce and any time I see an airplane flying through the sky. I'm always thinking to myself: "when will I be able to travel again?"
Seriously, I've been on the fence about planning a vacation in 2021 because I don't know if things will back to "normal" by then. Of course I've long accepted the fact that nothing is ever going to be "normal" again by any standards and the truth is- this simulation appears to be the new norm for the world. Masks, gloves, limitations on where you can and can't go, vaccines, germs, no toilet tissue! Ugh!! It's exhausting trying to keep up with all of it. But this as we know it for right now appears to be life. In all it's weird normalcy.

But if you're like me then you're probably wondering where can we even go as American tourists? With so many countries flat out banning us from visiting, it makes room for the real question: "Where can I go (that's open) for a nice vacation?"
I did some research and created this list of countries that are currently open to American tourists with restrictions. (Restrictions may include C19 testing, possible 14 day quarantine upon arrival, entry prohibited without proof of negative C19 test, being monitored by health officials)

Here's a list of top islands that are currently open for American tourists to visit:
Anguilla
Antigua & Barbuda
Aruba
The Bahamas
Barbados
Bermuda
Cambodia
Croatia
Dominica
Dominican Republic
Dutch Caribbean Islands (Bonaire, Curacao, Saba)
French Polynesia
Grenada
Ireland
Jamaica
The Maldives
Malta
St. Barts
St. Kitts & Nevis
St. Lucia
St. Maarten
St. Vincent & the Grenadines
Turks & Caicos
If any of these are your destination of choice, have fun and be safe! They are welcoming American tourists with restrictions, so be sure to plan wisely. Do your own independent research before traveling as things can change in an instant.

A few more countries that are open to Americans include:
Bangladesh
Belize
Brazil
Colombia
Costa Rica
Dubai
Ecudaor
Egypt
Ethiopia
Ghana
Guatemala
Honduras
Kenya
Mexico
Morocco
Namibia
Nicaragua
Panama
Peru
Senegal
Tanzania
Turkey
United Kingdom (mandatory 14 day quarantine)
Zambia
Again, even though these places are allowing tourists to visit, keep in mind that at any time the rules can change. Certain restrictions and risk assessments can be implemented at any time and travelers assume the responsibility of violating these rules. If you leave the country and the US decides to partake in a strict quarantine order; halting all incoming passengers or forbidding you from leaving airports until everyone submits to a vaccination- what would you do? What could you do?

Despite the grim outlook on reality, perhaps 2021 will be a much better year than 2020. Maybe a few more countries will open up and we'll all be able to resume life how it was pre- C19... Having hope is always better than having doubts. Hope gives you something to look forward to. Doubts give you a reason not to believe.
