The top 10 best countries for solo travelers

Thinking of traveling somewhere but don't know where to start? Check out my list of the top 10 countries for solo travelers. Even if you're traveling with a group of friends, a partner or your family- these countries are definitely worth visiting!

10- Greece

I highly recommend visiting the beautiful, scenic country of Greece. Pick an island whether it be Mykonos, Santorini, Crete or Corfu- you can't go wrong if you're looking for some of the most amazing views in the world. If you're more of an explorer and want to see the ancient architecture and learn the history of the country, head over to Athens to get a history lesson in Greek culture. The food, the hospitality of the locals, the monuments, everything! You won't be disappointed with your visit.

9- Italy

If you're a foodie and love to eat amazing cuisine while traveling- I definitely recommend hopping a flight to Italy. Rome, Venice, Milan or even the Amalfi coast where the coastal views are to die for will have delicious food choices for even the pickiest eater. With so much to see and do, from gondola rides in Venice, wine tasting in the country, ancient tours in Rome or visiting the bold and beautiful castles in Milan-- Italy is absolutely a country I recommend putting on your bucket list.

8- Egypt

If you want to experience a city where the energy is real and will make the hairs on your arm stand up, Egypt is most definitely that place! If you can get past the sweltering heat during the day, I'd say visiting Egypt is a must for any traveler. Seeing the Great Pyramids of Giza in Cairo, sailing along the Nile River, viewing the large stone temples in Luxor or Aswan, Egypt has so much to offer.

7- Thailand

I took my dream vacation to Thailand back in 2019 and I've been dying to get back ever since. The highly popular tourist destinations include the coastal island of Phuket, the more inland city of Bangkok or the mountainous area known as Chiang Mai. Each is known for their great street foods, amazing temples and some of the friendliest locals in the world. If I had to make a list of where I'd go again in a heartbeat, Thailand would definitely be at the top of that list!

6- Iceland

Let's talk about spectacular views and wide open spaces. If you're an outdoorsy type of traveler, Iceland should be right at the top of your list! With hot springs during the day and refreshing ice baths at night, Iceland is a country I could visit over and over again. Did I mention the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights? It is definitely a phenomenon you have to see to believe. Watch as the night sky turns vivid blue and green as the winds shift and move through the night. It's something you'll never forget!

5- Istanbul

From what I hear, Istanbul is a beautiful country, especially for solo travelers since the locals are most helpful and proud of their culture. Their hospitality is unlike any other and their food is some of the best in the world! If you ever get the chance to visit, be sure to check out the hot air balloon rides in Cappadocia, located in central Turkey. The sights, the views and the once in a lifetime opportunities are not to be missed!

4- France

The city of love, better known as Paris is one of the most recognizable and remarkable cities in the world. Although there's more to France than just Paris, people flock to the city every year for its museums, food and of course the iconic Eiffel Tower. If you're into tours, scenery, gardens and fashion- Paris is a place you must visit!!

3- Ghana

Known for its rich history, Ghana is an African country definitely worth visiting on your next vacation. From their diverse animal life to their beautiful sandy beaches, Ghana offers a little something for everyone. Doted as one of the most peaceful countries in the world, you'll find yourself immersed in the culture and history of the country. This should be at the TOP of any travelers list!

2- Canada

Just across the border from the U.S.- the neighboring country of Canada has so much to offer ambitious travelers. With so many places to choose from, whether you want to visit Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg or Ottowa- there's a little something for everyone. Pick a location, take a tour and learn about the history to see what makes Canada so unique and special.

1- Brazil

Need I say more? Brazil is home of the largest black population outside of Africa with more than 200 million people, 54% of them being of African descent. The food, the people, the beaches, the views, the rain forest and so much more all located in Brazil. This country is at the top of my list for my next big vacation. I hope you put it at the top of yours too!
